The League that grew out of that agreement outlived most of the kings who laughed at it.

On July 25, NVIDIA and more than thirty-five partners — Microsoft, IBM, Cisco, Cloudflare, Hugging Face, Red Hat, Salesforce, the Linux Foundation — launched the Open Secure AI Alliance to pool open-source defenses for AI systems. OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic did not join.
In the same week, NVIDIA was reported to be arranging roughly $250 billion in financing so OpenAI could lease a single ten-gigawatt campus.
Two strategies are now visible in daylight: own everything and pay for it alone… or own less and reach further than your balance sheet should allow.

This week Meta confirmed it is driving toward AI handling roughly 90% of content review, while LinkedIn moved job applications toward one click and began letting premium members auto-apply to matching roles.
Both ends of the exchange are now machine-operated.
When the cost of sending goes to zero, the value of having sent goes with it. What survives is the mark — the thing that could only have come from you.

Thirty-seven companies pooled a defense because none of them could fund the whole wall. Meta and LinkedIn are automating because human attention is the scarcest asset they route. Coaching clients pay the premium for hybrid delivery because your hours are finite and their week is not.
The tactical response is unglamorous: list the three things you currently pay full price to own alone, then borrow one this month instead of buying it — through partnership, licensing, or trade.
Remove Resource and you stop being limited by what you have. You start being defined by what you can reach.
